About the Partnership & Fundraiser
All participants who donate or raise $250 or more by May 24, 2021 will receive the benefits associated with Team Children’s Mercy.
Founded in 1897, Children’s Mercy is a leading independent children’s health organization dedicated to holistic care, translational research, educating caregivers and breakthrough innovation to create a world of well-being for all children. With not-for-profit hospitals in Missouri and Kansas, and numerous specialty clinics in both states, Children’s Mercy provides the highest level of care for children from birth through the age of 21.
Leading into our 49th Hospital Hill Run in June, we’re excited to provide individual team and fundraising options for all runners. Runners can fundraise to earn prizes and create and join teams while participating in our Half Marathon, 10k or 5k.
A portion of every Hospital Hill Run race entry, along with 100% of funds raised through the Hospital Hill Run fundraiser, will go directly to the ‘I Love Children’s Mercy Fund.’ The fund provides advanced medical treatments, compassionate care, and fuels world-class research.

COULD HELP TO PROVIDE FIVE (5) PACK ‘N PLAYS: Babies and toddlers need a protected place to sleep. Every year, we provide around 300 safe-sleeping Pack ’n Plays for families who can’t afford them.
COULD HELP TO PROVIDE A ONE-YEAR SUPPLY OF FAMILY EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES: Educational books help families facing challenges (like trauma, chronic illness, or premature birth) process what they are going through, as well as learn how to talk through them with their children.
COULD HELP PROVIDE ONE YEAR OF FUNDING OF GRIEF SUPPORT RESOURCES: Caring support, timely information and special opportunities to remember can make all the difference. Grief Support Resources can help families facing end-of-life care decisions or struggling to cope after losing a child.
Run to provide hope and healing in 2022. Start fundraising today for Team Children’s Mercy!
Children’s mercy story
Ashlynn, 14, loves to run, play the saxophone, and can’t wait to get her driver’s permit… She also happens to have Spastic Diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy that makes muscle movement stiff or uncoordinated, but that hasn’t stopped her from running!
Dr. Matthew McLaughlin, her Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist, once asked her to run a race together, and they’ve been teaming up for local 5ks since, including the Hospital Hill Run three times.
They love that the Hospital Hill Run supports Children’s Mercy and they plan to run again on June 5, 2021.
Support patients like Ashlynn by registering today and fundraising for Children’s Mercy in 2021!

Mykael White isn’t letting a bleeding disorder stop him from pursuing his goal of making it to state his senior year in cross country, swimming, and track. But he is getting some extra help with his training this year, working with the experts at Children’s Mercy Sports Medicine at Village West.
Every day when his alarm rings at 5:30 a.m., 17-year-old Mykael White is up and out the door. First stop—the pool, where he does early morning laps before heading to his second stop—classes at Bonner Springs High School.
