Did we mention we’re fun? We’re also flexible. Most of our shifts are between 2-4 hours. Need to volunteer during the day? Ok. You say you’re only available after work? We got you. Want to volunteer inside? We make that happen. Want to bring your group or your family? Yay!
All of our opportunities are perfect for individuals. Some are also perfect for groups and families. And some are made for people who want to sit while volunteering or want to be inside during their shift. Check out the details below and then click here to see specific shifts and choose your favorite.
Expo Greeter: This is the spot for you if you’ve never met a stranger (neither have we). You’ll welcome athletes, volunteers and everyone who enters the Expo.
Expo Setup: Can’t resist the chance to organize? You’ll organize merchandise, T-shirts, and giveaways before the Expo begins.
Gear Check: For the safety of all participants and staff, there will not be a gear check this year.
Post-Race Party: Love a good event? This is the spot for you! You’ll help us celebrate by supporting food and drink vendors as needed. (Depending upon city requirements, we will determine at a later date if we will have a post-race party)
Course Monitor: We take safety very seriously, and course marshals do, too. You’ll keep athletes safe by making sure streets remain clear of vehicles and spectators. You’ll volunteer in pairs near intersections along the route. Chairs welcome.
Aid Station: You’ll make sure athletes are hydrated, motivated and safe at waterstops. Get creative with music, entertainment, cheers, encouraging posters and more! This is the perfect place to wear your own group shirt, too. (Great for large groups). Extra safety precautions will be taking place. Additional training will be provided to those who volunteer at the Aid Stations.
Team: They have questions, you have answers. This is the team that welcomes athletes and fans and answers questions on race day.
Expo Packet Pickup: This weekday opportunity is great during or after work. You’ll provide athletes with information and materials they need for race day and you can check out the latest in running, fitness, health and nutrition during our Health And Fitness expo. Additional safety precautions will take place for the expo.
Finish Line: Crave excitement? Volunteer to hand out medals, food and drinks to the athletes as they cross the finish line. Must be willing to get loud. Additional safety precautions will be in effect. Volunteers will be provided with a specific safety plan.
Volunteer Registration: You’re the ones with the swag and all the info., handing out t-shirts and answering questions at volunteers check-in.
Course Monitor: We mentioned it above, and we’ll mention it here, too. This is a great option if you sit while volunteering.
Volunteer Captains: You’re the experienced volunteers who provide key support and training to other volunteers in each role.
Thank You for volunteering – YOU make the difference for many athletes!
